RYAN SEACREST-This week’s Inspiring personality on Empower Africa Initiative
Seacrest was born on December 24, 1974, in Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in the suburb of Dunwoody. According to his mum, as a child, instead of playing with G.I. Joes or Cowboys and Indians, Ryan would always have a little microphone and do shows in the house.
At age 16, while still attending high school, Seacrest won an internship at WSTR (FM), in Atlanta.Ryan continued with the microphone till today and has never looked back. Hosting and producing the most watched shows in the world today like On air with Ryan Seacrest, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Khloe and Lamar,Kourtney and Khloe take Miami,Shahs of sunset and many more!
In 2010, Seacrest launched the nonprofit Ryan Seacrest Foundation aimed at contributing positively to the healing process for children and their families during their stay (and visits) to the children’s hospitals whilst lifting the spirits of hospitalized kids, giving them an avenue to meet some of the biggest stars in entertainment.
