We went through the thick forests of the region by sea to identify the youths living in the crucial underdeveloped part of the world where ESI provides free tuition . With the existence of Boko Haram and sea pirates, Empower Africa Initiative soldiered on deeply into the forest!
We educated them on the need to further build a solidified sustainable system and believe in themselves. We see ourselves in these youths -in their passion, their intellect, their dreams, aspirations, resolve and their refusal to give up even in the face of some overwhelming odds capable of stifling many of us. It is gratifying seeing them accomplish the one thing they desire-EDUCATION.
